The Magic Castle asked me to create a graphic they could use to let their regular members know about watching Monday Night Football at the Castle. This was to run in their e-newsletter, “The FlashPaper” which announces news and special events to members. Here is what I came up with. I had a little fun putting a football helmet on the owl in the logo. They really liked it!

This is an ad that run in an all digital magic magazine to advertise a twitter contest. When you clicked on the page it took you directly to Twitter with the phrase ready to send.

Here is a full page ad used to promote a weekly Twitter chat for magicians. It ran in an all digital magazine so readers were able to click on it to view chats in progress.

Magician Lee Asher had me redesign the cover artwork for one of his instructional ebooks called Diving Board Double. I ended up taking his original concept (shown below, after the redesign) and improving the execution.

This was a fun ad that ran in the program for a film festival. I love adding angles to my designs where appropriate. It adds movement and interest.

Stand Amazed

A friend had contacted me to design a cover for a worship album he was recording called “Stand Amazed.” I came up with a concept where the cross is the main focus and when you investigate the cover further you see a small man standing at the foot looking up in amazement. I also tried a little experimentation with my illustration mixing actual photographic elements and illustrative elements. I really liked the result and so did my friend which is the most important thing. If you’re interested, my friend runs a blog about worship called “from the journey…”
